The Nehemiah Institute is a faith based organization whose
mission is to provide spiritual support, pastoral care, education,
worship, and housing for individuals struggling with Post
Trauma Stress Disorder, (PTSD), Domestic Violence, Sexual
Abuse, and Addiction Disorders. Although our primary focus is
female veterans our policy is not to turn anyone away.
As a faith base organization our goal is to ensure the successful
re-entry into civilian’s life for our female soldiers. Our motto
is Veterans caring for Veterans. We believe that one’s faith
plays a significant role in one’s emotional and spiritual health.
Therefore, one’s faith or belief system becomes the foundation
for services that we provide. We will partner with other
agencies in providing services when it is in the best interest of
the veteran to do so.
All members of the Nehemiah Institute staff are also veterans;
therefore they have a sense of what it means to struggle
with the feeling of not belonging and despair that often
accompanies veterans as they attempt to re-enter civilian life.
We believe that returning veterans often experience a spiritual
crisis; our hope is to journey with you on the road to recovery.
